"Back in shape" challenge

Regain your sound, clarity, stamina, flexibility, finger technique, and articulation in a short time.
This is a chance to reset—to open a clean slate, free of old habits that may have been holding you back.

Each day balances warm-ups, technical drills, and music-making to help you build confidence and get inspired. How It Works Every day follows a structured sequence of 40-60 minutes. 1. Warm-up (5–10 min): Breath, tone, flexibility. 2. Technical Focus (15–20 min): Positioning the sound, flexibility, posture, hand posture and finger technique. 3. Music making (15–20 min): Apply technique to music. 4. Cool-down (5 min): Long tones and gentle stretches. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Do I need to be an advanced player to join? A: No — this challenge works for intermediate through professional levels. Adjust tempos and repetitions to suit your needs. Q: What happens if I miss a day? A: No problem. You can extend the challenge or combine two days into one if you feel comfortable. Q: Do I need specific sheet music? A: Everything will be sent to you by email every day. Q: How much time should I practice each day? A: Plan for 45–60 minutes. If you have more time, you can repeat sections or add repertoire. Q: What are the challenges based on? A: Yeats of experience and the methods of: M. Moyse, P. Bernold, K. Rehnstrom (The magical flutist), Donna Farhi (The breathing book). Q: Will this help my sound and stamina? A: Yes — the program is designed to improve breath control, tone, technique, and endurance. You will probably want to use some of the exercises in your practice after the challenge is over! You will be invited to a private Facebook group, where you can comment, ask questions, give insights and meet others.

The "Moyse 480"- 40 day challenge

The grand challenge! 40 days of focused, structured practice with one legendary method. A deep dive into tone, finger technique, and articulation — guided and goal-oriented.

Important notes- We will embark on a journey — a big, 40-day adventure together. And we won’t be alone: we’ll be guided by the spirit of one of the greatest flute masters, Marcel Moyse. This challenge is built around two of his legendary books: De la Sonorité and Gammes et Arpèges. 👉 You’ll need a copy of both in order to participate. Structure The 40 days are divided into 8 phases of 5 days each, with every phase focusing on a different theme. To make the journey more engaging, I’ve added mini-tasks along the way. These will encourage you to approach Moyse’s exercises from new angles, helping us discover extra layers of benefit in the practice. FAQs Q: How much time should I invest in these exercises? A: Moyse himself recommends about 30 minutes for 12 exercises of Gammes. At first — especially if you’re new to these books — it may take longer. But as you become more familiar with the material, you’ll naturally become faster and more efficient. Q: Who is this challenge for? A: It’s designed for intermediate players and above. Some of the exercises reach the highest notes of the third octave. If you’re not quite there yet, don’t worry — you can still join, and this challenge will likely help you get there! Q: What do I need? A: Just the two books: De la Sonorité and Gammes et Arpèges by Marcel Moyse. Community This is primarily a self-learning tool, but you don’t have to do it in isolation. You’re warmly invited to: Ask questions Share your insights Post a recording Support and inspire others …in the private Facebook group created especially for this challenge.
